Paul Kienzle and David Bateman, both upstream developers of octave-forge, participated to the current thread, but they do not really address the specific problems we have faced. At any rate, it seems that the bug comes from the new version of GNU make, which has a new way to process the precedence of multiple defined rules. The package should build fine now. The package was autobuilt successfully last night on mips, arm, hppa, and mipsel. It fails for ia64, s390, and powerpc with the following error message: octave-depends Command octave-config not found at /usr/bin/octave-depends line 49. make: *** [binary-arch] Error 2 However, this is an unrelated problem. I will prepare a better patch than that included in version 2005.06.13-5 and will propose it to the upstream authors. -- Rafael -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
