sigh, i investigated that but forgot to actually fix.
The title of that bug was about adding stuff to the manpage, not
changing this..
The solution is to set
SIGIL_TRANSLATIONS=/usr/share/sigil/translations
at startup.
In the meantime affected people can launch sigil with that variable set.
