Package: unattended-upgrades
Version: 0.79.5+wheezy2
Severity: important
Dear Maintainer,
using Debian Wheezy it seems to be impossible to use a real wild card
for Unattended-Upgrade::Origins-Pattern.
The default configuration file says "[...] omitted keywords are wild
cards.", but when using an empty
pattern ("";) unattended-upgrades will fail with this error message:
"empty match string matches nothing". I
would expect that with an empty pattern every available repository would
be used. Or is there another way to
archive this configuration?
In Jessie I think you can use a pattern like "o=*" to match all
repositories (even if this seems to be not documented?).
We are pushing our repositories using Ansible and would like to enable
all of them at once for unattended-upgrades
without specifying every one again in
/etc/apt/apt.conf.d/50unattended-upgrades. This would be great for
third-party
repositories which are only installed on specific servers.
If I missed something please let me know :-)
Best Regards,
Ansgar
