Hey!
Replying from train with phone, so sorry for the badly formatted email.
Apper has an experimental KF5 port done by me, and Aleix Pol Gonzalez and I
have great plans with it. It currently is the only cross-distro package
manager developed by KDE, so it will get some love for sure (has many users
on Arch and openSUSE).
Unfortunately currently I don't have enough time to polish the Apper KF5
port, and apol and my plans will take some time, and need more important
work to be done in KDE Discover first, before Apper is worked on.
I therefore would suggest removing Apper from unstable to not hold off the
KDE 4 removal, and upload a git snapshot of it to experimental to keep it
in the archive and have it testable.
I would go forward with both tasks later, when I am not on travelling
anymore (probably next weekend, otherwise in two weeks)
Cheers,
Matthias

Based on the last public information I could find from upstream [1], I think
apper is unlikely to have a Plasma 5 port. Would removal be better?
Although, that refers to 0.9.1 and I see there was later a 0.9.2 that isn't
mentioned on Dantti's blog. Is someone else developing it now?
