The first thing I noticed is that xbindkeys does not work with GTK 3
programs. I filed a bug (#799627) against xbindkeys, but I don't expect
it to be fixed soon. This is important to me because my notebook does
not have many default keys (so I have to use xbindkeys extensively), but
I'm still willing to go ahead with the update.

As I said, I'll try it more before making the final decision.
