Package: gnome Version: 1:3.14+3 Severity: normal Tags: upstream For flavours of the Gnome 3 desktop there is a bug with the Applications menu where the mouse pointer can be moved above a category (“Favourites”, “Accessories”, “Education”...) that has not not gained focus within the menu context.
The normal behaviour is that the category that the mouse is over is focused (as indicated by a change in contrast of the area surrounding the category text), and the applications with in the category are listed to the right. Often when the mouse pointer is moved from one category to the next the bug is observed. What is observed is that the previously high lit category is defocused, but the category area that the mouse has entered dose not gain focus. Also when moving the mouse to the right from a category over to an application the category looses focus, but the application over which the mouse now resides fails to gain focus. Attached is a screen dump of the applications menu when the mouse is over the "Sundry" category.
