Package: android-tools-adb Version: 4.2.2+git20130529-5.1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
The patch in bug #694176 changed the default server transport to use local socket but it also removes the ability to use tcp transport. The -a option doesn't work because although it sets gListenAll to 1, the server is fork/exec'ed which doesn't inherit the variable. This breaks other tools that expect to connect to the adb server via tcp socket at localhost. I found this issue when I wanted to use Firefox WebIDE with android-tools-adb.
