It was a sarcastic response to the maintainer's overall unfriendly
attitude, specifically him directly accusing me of lying.
At the time I was able to reproduce this quite consistently.
However this is an ancient bug report. I have since installed a Debian
desktop with LibreOffice on quite a number of machines and this issue
hasn't been happening.
