Hi,

  The "reassigned" bts command used on 03 Mar 2015 discarded the
previous version information. I fixed it so that this bug shows
itself as not-fixed in the stable (jessie) version.
  For myself, I've build a backported version of the current
unstable version.

  But I think that this bug would need a fix in stable itself. Often,
VM are used to deploy services, so they run stable, not testing nor
unstable. I've been hit by it. A quick glance at the BTS surprised
me as it said the bug was not present in stable.

  Reading through the bug log, the applied patch seems to have been
tested (on other distribution) for a long time, so asking the
release-team for an agreement to fix this bug should be easy.
