Philipp: Have a look at settings files you're using in ~/.gnupg to look to see if you've specified a 'pinentry-program' setting. I believe this is usually set in gpg-agent.conf. Reason being: recently pinentry-qt4 was renamed to pinentry-qt. The pinentry-qt4 package has a softlink pointing to pinentry-qt, so installing that is another way of dealing with this if this is what you're running into.
Either way this sounds like it might be a pinentry issue rather than an issue with enigmail. -- Chris -- Chris Knadle chris.kna...@coredump.us
