OK. --- What should I use now for cgrules, and what in the future? Why is the conflict between the systemd and cgroup-tools packages not explicit in Debian packaging? --- About the patch I proposed. It seems wrong to pass empty strings. The code contains assert(pto) etc to protect against NULL pointers, seems an oversight to not have assert(strlen(pto)) also. My patch handles the case of empty strings (though does not go deep enough to find their origin). Would not my patch make systemd more robust?
