The goal was to enable RFC compliant DDNS by default. It was suggested
to me to use -I -D LLT.

Yes. It's also only something that should affect DHCPv6, at least if I
read the manual correctly. So I wonder why it fails with DHCPv4 in the
first place, and why only for some servers... I'll remove the -D LLT
option in any case.

Andreas, you said you tested running the dhclient command from ifupdown
0.8.1 with only -D LLT removed, and then it worked? So you still used
the -I flag?
