Hello Scott,

I am painfully aware of that, but what do you suggest I do apart from
waiting for a new upstream version that fix that ?

The last upstream version is dated from 1998 and do not contain the
configure.in file, and I was not able to find it on the web.

In any case, I doubt you would be able to process this configure.in file
with current version of autoconf anyway.

Beside that, I am still unsure whether the configure file was not
modified by hand after being generated. This was not so rare in 1998.

There is a plan for a new upstream version that would fix this, but do
not hold your breath.

Thanks for your bug report!
Bill.
