I'm actually stunned that there is no trying of finding the problem in this bug report, but a downgrade without a good reason IMO.

Please try the jessie kernel. This is what got me. We downgrade a bug because people use a different kernel, without even hinting at why it might be related. And worse of it all, this *has been* a Debian kernel, just from a different version. It'd be nice to learn why and how the kernel might be related. Thanks.
