As said in this bug this didn't work back then, and now in libpng16-dev libpng-dev isn't provided afaics (thankfully) so the bug should say build-depend on libpng16-dev? Which means I need to wait for the other packages to change first: # apt-get install libpng16-dev Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done The following packages were automatically installed and are no longer required: gir1.2-goffice-0.10 gir1.2-gtk-2.0 gir1.2-rsvg-2.0 hdf5-helpers libappindicator3-1 libdbusmenu-glib4 libdbusmenu-gtk3-4 libgbm-dev libgles2-mesa-dev libgoffice-0.10-10 libgoffice-0.10-10-common libhdf5-10 libhdf5-cpp-11 libhdf5-dev libindicator3-7 libinput-dev libjbig-dev libjson-glib-dev liblzma-dev libprocps4 libtiff5-dev libtiffxx5 libudev-dev libvigraimpex5v5 libvpx2:i386 libwv-1.2-4 libxine2-plugins Use 'sudo apt autoremove' to remove them. Need to get 626 kB of archives. After this operation, 72.5 MB disk space will be freed. Do you want to continue? [Y/n] libcairo2-dev libfontconfig1-dev libfreetype6-dev libgdk-pixbuf2.0-dev libgtk-3-dev libgtk2.0-dev libvigraimpex-dev are direct build-dependencies of libreoffice. And the first I checked to make this bug blocked by their bugs - cairo - hasn't even a bug for changing its build-depends.... Regards, Rene
