Have you ever looked at buildd.debian.org before? If you were willing to do that, you would see that a bug currently leads to the i386 build to exhausting memory at link time. So, you could either help solve that problem, install the 64-bit package, or even more simply just install the font package that you're missing. Best wishes, Mike
