Hi, python-poppler fails to build with Poppler >= 0.39. The problem has been reported upstream [1], and the patch attached to that (see comment #2) applies cleanly to the current Debian sources, and fixes the issue. Note that currently python-poppler is kind of dead upstream, so do not expect a new version upstream soon...
