I guess hostname should be set by the Line 293: unset_matching_var "HOSTNAME" NAS$(echo "$MAC" | sed 's/^..:..:..://' | sed 's/://g') There're several calling to "unset_matching_var" for other devices in that script, so if it's not working, it should be a bug to report.
