The virtualbox firmware/bios is completely open source, the problem here is that the *compiler* (open watcom) is only "freeware" and not open source, and the open source alternatives are not capable of building it, at least they weren't some months ago, when I tried them. If you have a different opinion, or progresses please let me know, I tried many times to put it back to main, but I couldn't build anything :( cheers, G.
