Hello, Two days ago I wrote to tell you that when I used my external USB drive after shutting down X11 everything worked fine.
Not so much: sometimes the kernel doesn't oops when I disconnect the HD, some other times it makes an oops and the computer freezes, so this probably has little to do with the nvidia kernel driver. -- Fernando Santagata
