Hi,

In these two files:
- hd/etc/js.txt
- hd/etc/welcome.txt
there are links to jquery_1_9_1_min.js and jquery_placeholder_min.js that were removed (March 2014) to satisfy Debian Free Software Guidelines. More info here:
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=744704

However, the hard links to these two .js files were not modified in the template files.

This makes, amongst others things, some pull down menus of the default template unusable. This is just annoying, since there are other ways to get to these menu options.

On the other hand, these two removed .js files are available in these Debian packages : libjs-jquery, libjs-jquery-placeholder

However, the way to link these .js files from these packages depends if they are served via a web server or via the file system. This is explained here:
/usr/share/doc/libjs-jquery/README.Debian
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/26704564/how-to-use-libjs-jquery-debian-package-in-a-project

So, depending if geneweb is used as a genealogy web server or as a genealogy personal software (on the local machine), the solution to replace hard links is not the same.

If there is a way to fix this for both kind of users, it would be great, otherwise we will have to choose one of the two possible methods.

Any comments?

Best regards,

Guillaume Brochu
