Package: joe
Version: 4.1-2
Severity: normal

Create a file with some text ... e.g. this bug report ... with lots of
upper and lower case letters.

Start editing with LANG=en_US.UTF-8

Search for "\[a-z]" or "\[A-Z]" or "\[0-9]" -- no matches found.

Search for "\[0123456789]" -- matches found!

Change LANG to C, try again -- both work properly.

Change LANG to en_US.ISO-8859-15 -- both work properly.

Seems to be a problem with UTF8 I infer.
