I didn't find > the file anywhere on my system > > > Thank you so much for your help, regards Hi, [please keep the bug CC'ed when replying] Sorry but I do not use EFI on my desktop so I can't reproduce that issue, I use legacy GRUB, and that file can be found at: /boot/grub/i386-pc/vbe.mod I understand that having the boot halted until a key is pressed is very annoying. Have you tried taking out that new config from GRUB, and instead disabling the integrated Intel card in the BIOS (if you don't need it and if the BIOS allows it of course)?
