Package: keepalived Severity: wishlist Tags: ipv6 Hi,
everything is in the title: the last upstream version is out since a couple weeks, and as usual there are a lot of fixes, some of them related to ipv6: http://www.keepalived.org/changelog.html Most relevant to my use case: * vrrp: Disable IPv6 on IPv4 VRRP VMAC interfaces. If IPv6 is not disabled on VMAC interfaces, an IPv6 link local address is generated based on the virtual MAC address. This is not only contrary to RFC 5798 para 7.4, but also causes duplicate address detection failure. The address also just isn't needed! (in some case, this can cause traffic to flow through servers in BACKUP state via switch mac learning.)
