Followup-For: Bug #807773 Now I got bitten by this, too. Installing rpl broke git-buildpackage.
rpl had a non-utf8 setup.py, but claimed this to be utf8. This has been fixed in rpl 1.5.5-1.1, so please add a corresponding Breaks in python-pkg-resources against the buggy rpl versions. I'm not sure whether this should go to python3-pkg-resources, too. Andreas
