Package: python-phply Version: 0.9.1-3 Severity: minor User: reproducible-bui...@lists.alioth.debian.org Usertags: randomness
Dear Maintainer, While checking this package with the reproducible builds[1] tool chain, I noticed that building the package with DEB_BUILD_OPTIONS="nocheck" set causes the file parsetab.py not to be included in the final .deb, because the tests are what cause parsetab.py to be generated. Another PLY-based package, pycparser, has a specific file _build_tables.py[2] that's called by setup.py and by the debian version's rules[3] to build the parse tables during installation, so a similar solution would probably work for python-phply.
