Package: texinfo Version: 6.1.0.dfsg.1-6 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
When updating texinfo a few hundred MB of extra packages are installed if not using --no-install-recommnends. This is not a desirable thing on minimal installs The package in question that is marked wrongly is the "texlive-fonts-recommended". This package depends on a lot of other packages, such as x11 libraries which isn't desirable on a minimal system or a server. -- System Information: Debian Release: stretch/sid APT prefers unreleased APT policy: (500, 'unreleased'), (500, 'unstable') Architecture: hurd-i386 (i686-AT386) Kernel: GNU-Mach 1.6+git20160502-486/Hurd-0.7 Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: sysvinit (via /sbin/init) Versions of packages texinfo depends on: ii libc0.3 2.22-7 ii libperl5.22 5.22.2-1+b1 ii libtext-unidecode-perl 1.27-1 ii libxml-libxml-perl 2.0123+dfsg-1+b1 ii tex-common 6.05 Versions of packages texinfo recommends: pn texlive-fonts-recommended <none> Versions of packages texinfo suggests: pn texinfo-doc-nonfree <none> pn texlive-base <none> pn texlive-generic-recommended <none> pn texlive-latex-base <none> -- no debconf information
