I believe that the problem you experienced regarding user switching was caused by a missing dependency that is involved in the user switching process. Since your report, Cinnamon has been updated to version 2.8 and recently to version 3.0. Both included a number of updates that may have fixed the issue. Could you please verify if you are still experiencing this issue with cinnamon 3.0 in testing? Thanks! Marga
