Dear Ioan,

thanks for testing fusiondirectory in Debian. I must admit, that I (with my maintainer hat for FD on) did not much time taking care of the fusiondirectory in Debian unstable. I am sorry for that.

However, the FD version in Debian jessie should actually work, basically. The bugs you reported hint that you should read the fusiondirectory documentation in a bit more detail. I just pinged one of the upstream developers to provide you with some info (URL to their wiki site).

Please also note, that the Debian BTS is not a user support forum. So when filing a bug, please make really sure that you are actually seeing a bug. In your case, my impression is that the software works ok, but you are using commands in a wrong way or wrong order. Setting up Fusion Directory also requires some basic + adept knowledge about how to set up LDAP. There are tons of good+bad howtos for that on the internet.

For questions like you reported here, please use the user mailing list of the Fusion Directory project instead:
https://lists.fusiondirectory.org/wws/info/users

You can also contact Fusion Directory adepts via IRC (#fusiondirectory on Freenode).

Good luck,
Mike
