Excuse me, but how often are you upgrading from GTK2 to GTK3? Are you honestly expecting this to happen without zero issues while on a development branch? And you can turn it anyway you want, but testing is definitely not intended for production use, so I have no idea why people keep complaining. Are you also expecting that your house will be free of dust and dirt while the construction company is there? There is an old saying which applies here very well: You can't make an omelette without breaking eggs. > Now, there being a maintainer that ignores them and talks with no education > is a whole different level. As I said before: There are people who are reporting bugs which document actual bugs. And there are people who are experiencing temporary issues because they are using a development release of a Linux distribution without understanding the ramifications of it. There are plenty of distributions which cater everyone's need and set of skills and if you don't have the skills to fix issues with a development version of a distribution yourself, well, then you shouldn't be using one. You can turn this argument any way you want: I will never agree with anyone who is complaining about issues with a development release. It's complete and utter non-sense to do that and so are those "distributions" who are based on Debian testing. Really, why are we even discussing? I don't get it. > Mike, thanks a lot for your understanding. Much love for your tone and your > work. Jordi, if you got the flood of repetitive and absolutely pointless bug reports like we did the past week, you would be upset, too. I have taken care of all these bug reports so Mike wouldn't have to. Please do not prejudge me as a bad person and someone who is not willing to help, I am the complete opposite. I simply have a problem with entitled users who apparently overestimate their own skills. Bug reports like these are the reasons why the bug trackers of most other open source projects require to register a user account with a verified email before you are able to post anything. The threshold to be able to report a bug in Debian is simply too low and people are abusing this. Adrian -- .''`.
