While I see the advantage, I actually still prefer if they would be
listed in the man page, too.

I'd prefer to not have it, but maybe it's the lazy person in me that
doesn't want to have new bugs in the future receiving bugs with "oh,
the list of sort-criteria is incomplete/outdated!".

But then I acknowledge that it's more practical for everyday or
occasional use to have it in the man page and not to have to go to the
guide, specially when the short names are not straightforward or easy
to remember... so it's fine by me.

I think adding the information about negation here, probably terser
than in the User's Manual, would be good thing while not really
duplicating data (like the list of available sorting criteria, which
probably changes more often than the negation character).

I can take care of that.
