Last I tried, apart from the time issue, I believe I also got an issue
with the way some images were generated into the resulting PDF.  The
generated image code would simply change from one run to another.  IIRC,
I worked around time issue using 'faketime':
https://wiki.debian.org/ReproducibleBuilds/TimestampsProposal .  We
could use that in our doc/Makefile if the other issues are resolved.
