Just FYI, I'm using sid with all packages completely upgraded and I have exactly the same issue, so it's not just a problem with a single system. Will later try grabbing the source and poking at it .. I seem to remember the mmap behaviour changed somewhat in a recent kernel release, although I might be wrong. :)
