Hi, I guess he did, just like me, because installing recommends often leads to a workload of useless packages. Even if I totally understand that the packager is not expected to support every configuration, maybe a line or two in NEWS.Debian should be enough. I read each Changelog.Debian, I saw the split announcement, but I totally missed the fact that it will render my system soundless. Adrien
