Hi Guido,
thanks for finding this.
The issue is caused by the outdated version of xz in Debian (5.1.0alpha).
The option --block-list was added in 5.2.0 [1].
I think that the most obvious solution is to release the new version of
xz in debian + add a warning if we try to recreate a tarball with
--block-list, but the xz version is < 5.2.0.
