Package: fontconfig
Version: 2.11.0-6.3
Severity: normal

The font cache needs to be generated per architecture.[1]

fontconfig has a post-install trigger to regenerate the cache, but naturally
this will only happen for the binary installed.

A user can have libfontconfig for 64bit and 32 bit, but with only one fc-cache
binary/trigger only one gets the system cache.

Without the system cache i386 applications will lock on first run for ~15
seconds generating a user cache in ~/.cache/fontconfig . Plus it's wasteful to
have that per-user.

Arch solves this by also providing a special "multilib" fontconfig version that
renames the 32bit fc-cache and creates a new trigger.
