Sorry, by "system based on Squeeze" I meant a Debian derivative; it
works "with a dpkg that does not require ldconfig". The matter is
whether this ability to run without libc-bin could be merged back into
Debian. Since libc-bin is intended to be essential and the POSIX
requirement looks like a good reason, it is better not to push these
changes.
