Package: bitcoind Version: 0.12.1-0.1 Severity: normal The description of the bitcoin* packages mentions the following line: This requires 20+ GB of space, slowly growing.
That info seems to be severely outdated and actually uses 87+ GB on my system, which is more then 4 times as much. I've put the severity at normal instead of minor/wishlist as it failed to work properly on a system where I had around 50GB space free when/where I installed it. PS: although reportbug reports the system as Raspbian, most of the system, including bitcoind, is from plain Debian. As you may have guessed, bitcoind is running on my Raspberry Pi. -- System Information: Distributor ID: Raspbian Description: Raspbian GNU/Linux testing (stretch) Release: testing Codename: stretch Architecture: armv7l Kernel: Linux 4.4.0-1-rpi2 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=C.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=C.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages bitcoind depends on: ii libboost-chrono1.61.0 1.61.0+dfsg-2.1 ii libboost-filesystem1.61.0 1.61.0+dfsg-2.1 ii libboost-program-options1.61.0 1.61.0+dfsg-2.1 ii libboost-system1.61.0 1.61.0+dfsg-2.1 ii libboost-thread1.61.0 1.61.0+dfsg-2.1 ii libc6 2.23-4 ii libdb5.3++ 5.3.28-12 ii libevent-2.0-5 2.0.21-stable-2+b1 ii libevent-pthreads-2.0-5 2.0.21-stable-2+b1 ii libgcc1 1:6.1.1-11 ii libminiupnpc10 1.9.20140610-2.1 ii libssl1.0.2 1.0.2h-1 ii libstdc++6 6.1.1-11 ii libzmq5 4.1.5-2 bitcoind recommends no packages. bitcoind suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
