Package: recoll Version: 1.22.3-1 Severity: normal I've just spent a long time to understand why my indexing configuration fails.
I've finally realized that the cause is that the mimetypes defined in mimemap are different from the ones returned by 'file -i'. Example: text/x-text (file) vs application/x-tex (mimemap) application/vnd.oasis.opendocument.text (file) vs application/vnd.sun.xml.writer (mimemap) For sake of least astonishment, they could be aligned. -- System Information: Debian Release: stretch/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.6.0-1-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.utf8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages recoll depends on: ii libc6 2.23-5 ii libgcc1 1:6.1.1-11 ii libgl1-mesa-glx [libgl1] 11.2.2-1 ii libqt5core5a 5.6.1+dfsg-3+b1 ii libqt5gui5 5.6.1+dfsg-3+b1 ii libqt5network5 5.6.1+dfsg-3+b1 ii libqt5printsupport5 5.6.1+dfsg-3+b1 ii libqt5webkit5 5.6.1+dfsg-5 ii libqt5widgets5 5.6.1+dfsg-3+b1 ii libqt5xml5 5.6.1+dfsg-3+b1 ii libstdc++6 6.1.1-11 ii libx11-6 2:1.6.3-1 ii libxapian22v5 1.2.23-1 ii python 2.7.11-2 ii zlib1g 1:1.2.8.dfsg-2+b1 Versions of packages recoll recommends: ii aspell 0.60.7~20110707-3+b1 ii xdg-utils 1.1.1-1 ii xsltproc 1.1.29-1 Versions of packages recoll suggests: ii antiword 0.37-11 ii catdoc 1:0.94.3~git20160113.dbc9ec6+dfsg-1 ii ghostscript 9.19~dfsg-2 ii libimage-exiftool-perl 10.25-1 ii poppler-utils 0.44.0-3 pn pstotext <none> pn python-chm <none> ii python-mutagen 1.34.1-1 ii unrtf 0.21.9-clean-2 ii untex 1:1.2-5 -- no debconf information
