Package: alpine
Version: 2.20+dfsg1-2
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

When looking at the list of emails in a folder one can search for a
specific email by typing 'W' and the text to search for. This search
works on the email subjects (among other fields) so one might expect to
find an email about this report by searching for 'part of the subject'.

However if the terminal is narrow only part of the subject will be
visible. For instance the displayed part could be truncated at 'the
displayed part'. In that case the above search will return no result.

The workaround is to maximize the window and/or reduce the terminal font
size so all subjects are displayed in full. Only then will searches work
as expected.
