Agreed completely. I expected this to work much like dh_link but recursively for trees in the source, rather than other files outside. So I'm just doing ln -s thing/* otherthing for now as an override, but not as pretty.
But useful for the other case too, just not what I expected from the manpage. Thanks, Greg Lutostanski
