Package: gnome-packagekit Version: 3.14.0-1 Followup-For: Bug #819847 Same problem here but I found a workaround (not a permanent one, though):
After issuing 'dpkg-reconfigure packagekit', the Package Updater seems to work as intended again. However, this only lasts for as long as the system is not restarted. Next time when I start the computer, it is back to "No network connection was detected." again. I lack the skills to investigate it further but it seems to me that the problem is in packagekit and not necessarily in gnome-packagekit and that something messes with it when the system is started.
