well, it's not the same, `....`_ says that it's `[^`]*`_ (roughly) and also works. whereas in the comments, it's not done the same way, and explicitely says which chars can be used. maybe the same can be done for the comments (I mean the footer instructions) but I've not the time to investigate, syntax files beeing what they are ...
