Package: evolution Version: 2.4.2.1-1 Followup-For: Bug #140937 1. create 2 new maildirfolders in ~/Maildir on the imapserver: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/Maildir$ maildirmake.dovecot .test.1 [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/Maildir$ maildirmake.dovecot .test.2 This is the ExtendedMaildiFormat introduced by Courier to create subfolders (http://wiki.mutt.org/?ExtendedMaildirFormat): Maildir/ cur/ new/ tmp/ .test.1/ cur/ new/ tmp/ .test.2/ cur/ new/ tmp/ In a MUA, it would look like this: INBOX |-test | |-1 | `-2 `-Sent 2. Now subscribe to the new subfolders in Evolution: 'Folder --> Subscriptions --> Refresh' and select 'test' This gives: "Error while performing operation. IMAP command failed: [TRYCREATE] Mailbox doesn't exist: test" The subfolders can be selected but they aren't visible until Evolution is restarted. The subfolders can only be accessed when the tree is expanded. If you try to select the 'test' folder directly you get: "Error while Opening folder imap://[EMAIL PROTECTED]/tst;noselect=yes. No such folder test" These problems don't occur in Thunderbird or Mutt. In TB, the 'test' folder is grey and italic and in mutt the folder is shown as 'test.'. A workaround is to manually create a new folder in Evolution and after that create the subfolders.
