Do you have the experimental sources in /etc/apt/sources.list ?
Actually I do, with very low priority (no automatic updates). However, I do notice now that I only have main in my experimental source line, not contrib and non-free. I remember that some (long) time ago I had to remove contrib and non-free because they were not provided, at least for some time, and I was sick of getting errors on each apt-get update. Since then I never re-added contrib and non-free, I just did it now and indeed now I do see the nvidia packages. Why did they not make it to unstable though? Until they do, the bug is still present in unstable, isn't it? Perhaps do mention explicitly somewhere that the packages solving the bug are only in experimental, so people will know where to find them.
