Hi, I have reported the issue upstream[1] and pointed to Aurelien Jarno's analysis explicitly.
BTW, I'd consider the packaging fitting into two teams: Either Debian
Science or DPMT. Having a packaging repository outside of
git.debian.org and noticing it is lagging behind the actual packaging
is not very motivating to contribute.
