The third possbility is, things remain unfixed, which I do not hope.

Hello again ,

I have just updated my notebook, which has intel-graphics and I can confirm,

that GNOME3 was not updated yet, and it probably will not be, while Jessie is
stable.

The bug is definitely still there.

So from my point of view the two remaining possibilities are, that the LTS-team
provides

fixed packages , when Jessie became oldstable and/or somebody who can,
packports the

stable GNOME3-version from Stretch to oldstable Jessie.

Great if you know, how to fix this particular issue, but Debian wants to see
patches,

don't they?

Greetings

A.

P.S: Probably people can work around this particular issue with gconf anyway,
or by simply
re-using their old home-partitions, but I have e few similar minor bugs, that
nobody
touches.
