No, that message is printed *after* the job has finished: Starting foo.service [job is about to be executed] ...do stuff... Started foo.service [job is finished] Note the Start*ing* vs Start*ed* -- Why is it that all of the instruments seeking intelligent life in the universe are pointed away from Earth?
