It looks like dgit needs Depends: git (>= 1.2.4).
What version do you have on your system, Peter (outside the chroot)?
Umm why would what I have outside the chroot matter?! The whole point of
testing this in a chroot was to eliminate issues caused by other
packages being outdated.
