Package: usbguard-applet-qt Version: 0.6.2+ds1-1 Severity: normal
Hi. With the new autostart .desktop file, the usbguard applet still doesn't show up in cinnamon's systray - it is however running and the dialogs when a USB device are inserted show up. This may very well be a bug in cinnamon itself (which seems to have quite some issues with regards to systray icons). Even if, it's unlikely that this is going to be fixed anytime soon... A workaround for me seemed to be setting a delay in the startup, which works with e.g.: X-GNOME-Autostart-Delay=5 (for 5 secs delay) Since the actual usbguard daemon is still running, this wouldn't have anysecurity implications. Cheers, Chris. -- System Information: Debian Release: stretch/sid APT prefers unstable-debug APT policy: (500, 'unstable-debug'), (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 4.8.0-2-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages usbguard-applet-qt depends on: ii libc6 2.24-8 ii libgcc1 1:6.2.1-7 ii libqt5core5a 5.7.1+dfsg-1 ii libqt5gui5 5.7.1+dfsg-1 ii libqt5svg5 5.7.1~20161021-2 ii libqt5widgets5 5.7.1+dfsg-1 ii libstdc++6 6.2.1-7 ii libusbguard0 0.6.2+ds1-1 ii usbguard 0.6.2+ds1-1 usbguard-applet-qt recommends no packages. usbguard-applet-qt suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
